Sharon Oliensis

US travelling practitioner, Trainer in ABM NeuroMovement® trainings

In 1993 Sharon became a Guild Certified Feldenkrais practitioner after first studying the work in 1987 when she was a professional dancer and required help from recurrent back spasms. She completed her ABM NeuroMovement® Childrens Mastery with Anat in 2006.

Sharon was on the faculty of the Feldenkrais Learning Centre for eight years under the direction of Marcy Lindheimer, a senior Anat Baniel Trainer. She now works in close partnership with Marcy which has greatly deepened her understanding, skill, and ability to work successfully with children of varied ages and challenges.

Sharon is working as an Assistant Trainer at the ABM NeuroMovement® professional training, She teaches  on the faculty of the Well Balanced Pianist based in Stonybrook NY,  provides mentoring to new practitioners, and maintains a private practice in Brooklyn NY

Since 2016 Sharon has been delighted to expand her practice to include teaching at centers that offer ABM NeuroMovement® in Turkey and Norway, and is now a firm favorite in our Centre in the UK.

Sharon works hands on with both children and adults of all conditions and also provides Online coaching.

Other Qualifications:

Sharon is also a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner (1993) and has studied extensively in movement and healing disciplines Mentoring Mentors, with Larry Goldfarb, Section I of Bones for Life with Ruthy Alon, Balinese and Middle Eastern Dance, the Alexander Technique, Pilates, Jin Shin Jitsu, Shiatsu, Tai Chi Chuan and the work of Allan Wayne.
