What We Offer

We practice the Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement®, which at its core, is all about learning and upgrading the brain through the 9 Essentials. Our 3 Offerings provide great opportunities for both children and adults, and they can be done individually or blended in together.

Hands On Lessons

A powerful way to be introduced to this work is through private hands on lessons as they are tailored directly to the individual and offer maximum potency.

The lessons generally take place on a low padded table (although they can happen sitting or standing up!) and last up to 45 minutes.

The practitioner customizes each lesson to the specific needs, situation, and skill level of the client and uses movement and the 9 Essentials as the mechanism of communication with the brain. The work is very gentle and non invasive.

The practitioner establishes a connection with the client, never forcing them to do something they cannot yet do but instead, meeting them where they are and introducing new possibilities of movement. This allows for an enhancement of the clients self awareness and ability to make distinctions.

At our Centre, we pride ourselves on having a varied amount of practitioners coming to us from all over the world. By working with different practitioners, we feel the learning process is enhanced as each one of them feels and senses different possibilities.

How many lessons should I book?

To optimise learning and provide the chance for greater breakthroughs and transformations, it is recommended for clients to have a condensed block of lessons, which we refer to as Intensives. We take the lead from Anat’s ABM NeuroMovement® Centre in San Rafael where they recommend 10 lessons over 5 consecutive days (2 lessons a day). This, we acknowledge, is not always possible for various reasons, and so we can scale back to find something that works for each individual.

As a client becomes more familiar with the work, the practitioners that get to know them can make more tailored recommendations on the frequency of the work in order to maximise their potential. Get in touch to find out how we can get you started on this learning journey.

Online Coaching

Unlike the hands on work which happens in person and is focused on the individual requiring the work, the online coaching is very much focused on the caregiver/parent.

The session happens through Zoom and the practitioner observes the way you as a caregiver/parent interact with the individual requiring the work.

The practitioner focuses on the caregiver's interaction by drawing their attention to the 9 Essentials and how they can practically implement them in their daily life activities with the adult/child they look after.

The practitioner observes for example, how the caregiver moves and handles the adult or child and may recommend that they move slower, with more attention to what is being done. The practitioner may also look at how the caregiver interacts both verbally and nonverbally in their day-to-day activities and make this more purposeful.

It’s important to note that the practitioner is not teaching the caregiver the hands-on work as this requires the training program, but is however teaching a greater understanding of how the essentials can be implemented.

We have discovered that the online coaching is an instrumental tool to help caregivers supercharge the work that happens before or after a hands-on lesson as the interaction of the caregiver becomes that much richer and really complements and can improve the outcomes.

The coaching has also proved very beneficial as a way to access the work for parents/caregivers that cannot currently travel or do not have a practitioner close by

To optimise learning and provide the chance for greater breakthroughs and transformations, it is recommended to have a condensed block of lessons which we refer to as intensives. We take the lead from Anat’s ABMNM Centre in San Rafael where they recommend 4 lessons over a 7-day period. This, we acknowledge, is not always possible for various reasons and so we can scale back from that optimal to find something that works for each family.

“In essence, the practitioner guides a caregiver to wake up the brain of the adult/child to create positive changes for everyone.”

Movement lessons

Transformational movement lessons, or TML’s can happen in a group or one-on-one. Normally these would always happen in person but since the pandemic, they have also very successfully been conducted over zoom, making them much more accessible to a wider audience.

In a movement lesson, you will be guided through a series of gentle movements in either lying, sitting or standing to help you gain greater awareness and understanding of how you move.

While paying close attention to the variations in each movement, your brain will create new neural pathways leading to easier movement and an improved feeling of self. Some of the movements will seem easy, some difficult or maybe some will be impossible to accomplish at first.

The important thing is to go through the process of learning without straining and going with where its easy.

As your brain adapts, learns and organizes itself, each movement will hopeful become easier. Even doing the movements in your imagination can have surprising results.

Positive changes may include pain relief, increased ease of movement, better balance and a sense of well-being.

As well as the lessons being of benefit to the participant, for those adults who have children having hands-on lessons, it is a wonderful way to understand some of the movements that underpin the hands-on work that their children will be experiencing

It is recommended that you wear loose, comfortable clothing that does not restrict your movements in any way.

“Experience coupled with attention leads to physical changes in the structure and functioning of the nervous system.”
